With Hot Tubs becoming more and more popular as we spend more time at home in our gardens we have put together some of our more frequently asked questions regarding our tubs and what they have to offer you this summer.

Question: “How long do the Hot Tubs take to heat up?”

Heat up times from tap water temperature are from around 1 hour to 1.5 hours- compared to often over 24 hours with American Electric Hot Tubs. Making spontaneity possible – perfect for the unpredictable British Weather!

Question: “Do the Hot Tubs Require Electricity like American Tubs?”

Yes and No! With the heat element coming via the stove, electricity is only required for the LED Lighting System and the Bubble System. Meaning that electricity isn’t strictly required. When the Hot Tub is not in use no electricity is needed, your only using electricity when/if you decide to switch on the bubbles or mood lights!

Question: “What is the benefit of having a Fibreglass wood fired Hot Tub?”

Fibreglass interiors are much more hygienic and easier to clean when compared to wooden interiors. This is due to the porous nature of wood. Over time, wooden interiors ‘swell’ eventually distorting the product. With Wooden Hot Tubs you are forced to continually fill your Tub with water otherwise the wood cracks, resulting in a leaking Tub. If you don’t change the water at least once a week your Hot Tub becomes slimy to touch, this results in wooden hot tubs requiring a lot more maintenance. Having a safe fibreglass interior makes the Hot Tub more comfortable and cleaner to use, the fibreglass shell allows you to drain the Tub completely empty after a weekends fun. The Hot Tub can then sit empty for weeks before you next go to use it.

Question: “Do i need to use Chlorine?”

No is the short answer! We supply all of our Eco Tubs with a Chlorine Starter Pack but the use is by no means essential.
Some owners opt to use salt to clean the water and some other owners just change the water between every use.
It’s entirely your choice!

Question: “Does the Hot Tub have Insulation?”

Yes, our Hot Tubs come with insulating properties. We have in the past used insulating foam underneath the Hot Tubs like others on the market however we soon realised this becomes a big problem with vermin. To get around this issue we have done away with insulating foam/wool and opted for a much more discreet feature. In the construction of our fibreglass tubs we uses layers of Insulating prills. These are small insulating balls that are pressed into the fibreglass during construction. This results in the Hot Tubs having efficient insulation without the requirement of having foam etc.

Question: “Is the wood treated?”

The wood on our Hot Tubs are 3x treated with different methods to insure its hard wearing and will last for many years of fun. The hard wood is carefully selected for its density and strong structure. The wood is first treated with fibreglass throughtout to add structure and longevity. It is then cut and curved with high pressure to increase density and finally treated with weatherproof stain.
