Is the Kamado Joe Jr. big enough for two people?

We get asked this question all the time on social media, at cooking events and in our showroom. “Is the Kamado Joe Jr. big enough for me and my partner?”

The answer really depends on what you are wanting to get out of your grill. In most cases the answer is probably no. But don’t worry as we can explain and sort you out!  The Kamado Joe Jr. is a fantastic portable grill and has been designed for traveling. Its still got all of the features and benefits that cooking with a ceramic BBQ offers but on a smaller scale. Its ideal for Camping, Boating and Picnic’s etc. The Kamado Joe Jr. does not give you the space to cater for more than 3-4 people. This is a problem if you are trying to BBQ for friends and family as it is just not big enough. The grill size is just to small to cope with large numbers.

The Kamado Joe Jr. comes as standard with one deflector plate not the flexible conquer and divide system like the others in the range. This results in the Joe Jr. not being as versatile as the other grills however it still packs a punch and retains moisture and flavour like its big brothers, offering direct and indirect cooking options.

The Joe Jr. is a fantastic Kamado Grill and gives you the same flavour and moisture to your food however it is most commonly used for trips away when bigger Kamado Joes just cant join.
