Kamado Joe is not just for your everyday grilling. We often start and finish our cook with a drink in hand. This is definitely worth a go. Quick and Easy to make this can be done on grill light up, cool down and any time in between if you so desire!! This is something different to perfect in time for summer, impress your guests with grilling cocktails. You can still enjoy this delicious, fresh, and fruity cocktail on your Kamado Joe grill.
Give this @ericgephart Blueberry Basil Lemon Grilled Smash cocktail a go, you won’t regret it!
Ingredients:
Blueberries (7 each)
Basil Leaves (2 each)
30 ml Grilled lemon Juice
30 ml Simple Syrup
45 ml Tito’s Vodka
60 ml Club Soda
400 g Pure Cane Sugar
500 ml Water
Instructions:
1. Add water to a pot and bring to a boil.
2. Add Sugar and boil until sugar is fully dissolved
3. Pour into storage container and cool for later use.
4. Stabilize your grill at 450F. slice your lemon in half and blister sear each flesh side for 45 seconds.
5. Place basil and blueberries into a mixing cup and muddle together.
6. Add ice to the cup and squeeze the grilled lemon over the cup, add simple syrup and vodka then top and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. (Over head for panache)
7. Add ice to a high ball glass and strain the mixture over the ice then top with club soda.
8. Garnish with blueberry speared basil leaf and enjoy responsibly!
