FOOD & DRINK
At Auldton Stoves we try and keep produce as local as possible. We will be using produce from Auldton Farm as much as possible if in season and local farms around us. Below is a sample menu of what type of things to expect. Subject to change.
In this class, we want to show you that there’s no need to use imported meat to achieve fantastic results as the produce we have on our land is amazing and we should be championing it all day every day! Elky will teach you how to cook brisket and pulled pork using the ‘hot & fast’ method, cooking them in less than 6 hours as opposed to 15+ hours usually associated with low & slow BBQ. We’ll also cook other American classics such as ribs, wings, mac n cheese, pit beans and a selection of sides and sauces.

WHATS INCLUDED
Learn new techniques and recipes with Elky (The Smokin Elk). Hands on cooking experience using the newest season premium grills. Kamado Joe’s, Gozney Pizza Ovens, Traeger Smokers etc. Obviously you will be eating the food you are cooking… with a drink in hand. Ideal for beginners and experts alike who want to immerse themselves in the world of outdoor cooking.
This is a class that you will learn but almost as importantly, you will have fun with some cold beverages of course!
TRAVEL, LOCATION & ACCOMODATION
Live Fire Cook Schools will be happening at our purpose built outdoor Cook School Area located at the Auldton Stoves Showroom. Auldton Stoves Ltd, Auldton Farm, Lugton Road, Dunlop, KA3 4DR (25mins from Glasgow and 25min Ayr). The new Cook School Area offers a covered outdoor patio meaning we will survive the Scottish Weather! We will also have indoor space if required.
For those travelling that want a drink we are accessible via train (Dunlop Station) and bus (Lugton Road). We are within walking distance to Dunlop Station (1.1mi) or can uplift from the station if pre-organised.
If you are travelling from a distance don’t worry. We can organise your stay at our local Country Club and Spa with special rates. Please organise this through our office. 01560 480002. You might even catch a drink with the guest chef!

Elky has been passionate about BBQ and all things fire for the past 20 years. He believes the same as us at Auldton Stoves that there is nothing better than cooking outside with a beer in hand, fully immersing yourself with smoke, fire and good food.
